The World Center for Birds of Prey is planning an expansion to double the number of students it can host.
The Center is a unique indoor/outdoor interpreative facility in South Ada County. A program of Peregrine Fund, the facility opened in 1994 and remains a top field trip destination for Idaho students.
The project hopes to get a fundraising boost from the bi-annual FUNDSY capital campaign effort. FUNDSY started in 1967 to help drive funding for the Downtown Boise YMCA.
AppDetex, which provides brand monitoring and enforcement services, is set to consolidate its headquarters into an old candy warehouse in Boise.
The company has applied to remodel a 10,843 square foot space in the old Idaho Candy Co. Warehouse building a 508 t S. 8th St., next to Trailhead. (Not to be confused with the Idaho Candy Co. manufacturing facility a block away).
The building popped up in 1939 according to Idaho State Historical Society records.
